During the times of Holi, the rural villages of Goa turn into playgrounds for ancestral energies and Village deities. This phase of a few days is called the SHIGMO festival. the purpose of this festival is to worship the spirit gods and our ancestors. One of the festivals celebrated in the Shigmo period is KARVALYO. 

A very unique festival dedicated to womanhood and women’s sacrifice for society. We sat with knowledgeable people from villages like Nanoda, Keri, and Shiroli and tried to know their perspectives on their own festivals.This Documentary speaks about the Karvalyo festival and Human’s intention of playing Shigmo.
